Where to find iron shards in Len’s Island?

My kingdom for some iron!

Players can find iron shards by mining either iron nodes or finding them as extra drops from stone nodes. But, if you want to find iron nodes, you will need to search inside the Ancient caves dungeon in the game.

You can find the Ancient caves dungeon by following the road east from the tent boat you start at in the game. Keep following the road east until it bends south, which should happen after you pass a small wooden house on Len's Island.

When the road starts heading south, keep following it, and you will eventually find a cave entrance with two large fire pits in front of it. See the image below for an idea of the Ancient cave entrance.

Inside the Ancient caves, you will want to locate Iron nodes that look like the image shown below. Mining these nodes will drop several Iron shards, which you can use to craft several items in the game.

However, before you enter the cave system to look for iron shards, it would be a good idea to prepare. For example, formidable enemies will be waiting for you inside the cave. So before you can farm iron shards, it might be worth getting a better weapon.

Luckily getting a decent weapon that's better than your starting weapon is easy. Just farm gold until you have around 80 and head to pirate town.

The pirate town is located south inside the town of Bridge water, and inside the pirate town, there will be several NPCs that sell weapons. One of these NPCs will sell a sword you can use for 80 gold, so buy and then move on to the next step.

Before entering the Ancient caves, the next step for preparing is to stock up on food. You will take damage inside the Ancient cave, so you will need food to heal any damage you take.

Luckily, an NPC also sells food to the north near the lumber merchant. The merchant is called a farmer merchant, and we recommend using a few gold pieces to stock up on food. If you don't have any more gold, head back into the woods farm some more wood.

Once you are fully stocked on food and have a decent weapon, you will be ready to face both the dangers inside the Ancient cave and to farm Iron shards.
