You can get the Nutcracker shotgun in Lethal Company by killing the Nutcracker. You might think this sounds easy, but you have to avoid getting killed by said shotgun. If you are right close to it, you will get killed by one shot. If you are further away, there are chances you can still survive. Stay away and stay behind the Nutcracker to survive.

How to kill the Nutcracker in Lethal Company
Think of the Nutcracker as a walking Lethal Company turret. It patrols an area like a good toy soldier. While the mask is on its face, it cannot see you. From time to time, an eye will pop out and scan the area for crew members. So long as you are out of its cone of vision at the front, you should be good.
Once the eye is out, make your move and start hitting the Nutcracker with a shovel. If it starts shooting, get behind a cover. It doesn't shoot that fast, so you can probably manage to hide. Wait for it to start reloading, and then get back to hitting. You can also employ stun grenades and a zap gun to slow it down and not get killed. Shotguns can kill Nutcrackers if you want to have more than one.
Once the Nutcracker dies, you can pry the shotgun out of its hands. The shotgun shells also take up slots in your inventory, so make sure you have the space. You can become the designated shooter of your crew and defend them while they all collect scrap.
