This is the easiest ending to get in The Wild West Scenario in Live A Live. During your fight with O. Dio, you must let both The Sundown Kid and Mad Dog die. You will then be treated with an epitaph for The Sundown Kid.

How to get the neutral ending in The Wild West Scenario in Live A Live

After defeating O. Dio, Mad Dog will once again challenge you to a duel to the death as he intends to bring you in. You are left with little choice but to fight Mad Dog. You must defeat the bounty hunter, an easy task to get this ending. Afterward, Mad Dog will utter his last words and die.

The scene transitions to The Sundown Kid, leaving the citizens of Success. Annie will offer you money, which you will refuse. The Sundown Kid then rides off into the sun.

How to get the good ending in The Wild West Scenario in Live A Live

After defeating O. Dio, Mad Dog challenges you to a duel. You are forced to accept the duel, but once you are in combat, you can flee. Run away to trigger a cutscene of you and Mad Dog parting ways. The citizens of Success will offer you money, which you refuse, and The Sundown Kid rides away.

However, it's not long until Mad Dog shows up and gives you no choice but to finish your fight. He is easily defeated, and a familiar cutscene plays. The Sundown Kid spares Mad Dog and shoots at his horse, the recently transformed O. Dio, leaving Mad Dog stranded in the desert again.
