Lords of the Fallen players experience major crashing issues on Steam

Despite the acclaim and anticipation, many players are not happy with Lords of the Fallen due to constant crashing on Steam. Lords of the Fallen launched on October 13, 2023 with Mostly Negative reviews on Steam. However, most of the reviews are quite specific about the issue, and it's not gameplay related, but rather, it concerns mass crashing on Steam.

Major crashing for Lords of the Fallen on PC, explained

Lords of the Fallen negative reviews are due to the crashing issues, as well as having stuttering, FPS, and performance issues. Lords of the Fallen has high specs and requirements, and many players are feeling the toll of this. Lots of fans are reporting crashes in the menu and while playing, rendering the game nearly unplayable for some and causing numerous headaches in the process.

Players are discovering ways to prevent the crashing issues and reduce the impact on performance. Most revolve around turning down graphical settings—specifically Reflections and Global Illumination. Yet, numerous players are still encountering crashes on Steam for Lords of the Fallen despite reducing graphics and trying other solutions. As a result, it becomes hard to pin point where the issue is and what solutions exist for it.

Hexworks put out a statement notifying Xbox players to expect issues while awaiting a patch, but did not mention potential issues for PC players on Steam. We'll have to wait and see if Hexworks fixes the issue with a patch, but Lords of the Fallen has reached Mixed reviews on Steam, so the community may be solving the problem on their own.
