Manor Lords has three basic Scenario Settings for players—Relaxing, Default, and Challenging. These are great options for new players wanting to dive into the game. However, these settings can be personally customized to make a Manor Lord's world fit anyone's playstyle.

I've composed three custom settings options for those who want to explore the game as a city-builder, play it casually with realistic elements, and those who want the challenge of a lifetime!

Scenario Settings for Casual City-Builders

These settings are perfect for those who want to explore the building aspects of Manor Lords without the danger of being attacked or dying due to weather.

Setting NameSetting Option
End GoalNone
Off-Map AdversaryAbsent
Raider FrequencyNone
Initial Bandit CampsNone
Random Bandit Camp Spawn Limit0
Starting SeasonSpring
Starting SuppliesDouble
Armament DeliveryYes
Residential RequirementsTolerant
ApprovalLow Penalty
Well PlacementUnconstrained
Weather EventsNone

Scenario Settings for Casual Realism

These settings are like those for city-building, but with a few added elements of realism for casual players who get tired of just building settlements. Some of these changes include the addition of weather elements, the possibility of bandits and raiders, and higher residential needs. If you don't care to fight, change "Raider Frequency" to none and "Random Bandit Camp Spawn Limit" to 0.

Setting NameSetting Option
End GoalNone or Growth
Off-Map AdversaryAbsent
Raider FrequencyMedium
Raider Free Years3
Initial Bandit CampsNone
Random Bandit Camp Spawn Limit3
Starting SeasonSpring
Starting SuppliesDouble
Armament DeliveryYes
Residential RequirementsBalanced
ApprovalLow Penalty
Well PlacementUnderground Water
Weather EventsBalanced

Hardcore Scenario Settings

If you think the Challenging Scenario Settings are a piece of cake, try our Hardcore settings! You'll have to start from the bottom and make your way to the top of the food chain while fending off a variety of enemies.

Setting NameSetting Option
End GoalDomination
Off-Map AdversaryPresent
AI AggressivenessAggressive
Raider FrequencyFrequent
Raider Free Years1
Initial Bandit CampsBetween 3 and 5
Random Bandit Camp Spawn Limit5
Starting SeasonWinter
Starting SuppliesNothing
Armament DeliveryNo
Residential RequirementsDemanding
ApprovalHigh Penalty
Well PlacementUnderground Water
Weather EventsDifficult

If you find the fighting to be too much, I'd recommend either turning the "Random Bandit Camp Spawn Limit" to 3 or the "Raider Frequency" to medium.
