Rejoice heroes, as Marvel Rivals rolls is rolling out the red carpet, and not only for the Helfire Gala! They're celebrating a whole year since the Closed Alpha test in style with Galacta’s Gift event! Marvel Rivals has been keeping us fed, but this celebration is a golden opportunity to snag even more free in-game goodies, including a free hero costume! If you're looking for a reason to dive back into the game, well here it is!
What is the Galacta’s Gift Event in Marvel Rivals?
Galacta's Gift event is a celebration for the one year anniversary of Marvel Rivals (counting from their Closed Alpha test). This is essentially a thank you from the developers for sticking around and playing their game. And of course, none of us will say no to free rewards. I'm definitely happy to see the return of the Season 0 gamepass as well.
Event Dates and How to Participate - It's Easy!
Galacta's Gift event is currently active as of May 15, 2025 and it will be active permanently! That means you can complete this event at any time, no need to rush as it's not time limited. However, once you've completed it, that's it as each account can only join once (yes that means you can only get one skin, so choose wisely!). So how do you get all of the rewards?
- Log into Marvel Rivals
- Check your daily event mission. A new mission unlocks every day at 9 AM UTC.
- Each reward has a corresponding mission. That means once you complete that daily mission you will get a reward.
- You can complete missions in Quick Match, Competitive and even Practice VS. AI (I'll of course only be doing it in Competitive, because I like making my life miserable).
- Once you've completed all seven daily missions, you can use the Costume Coin to claim one free hero skin.
Galacta's Gift Event Rewards Breakdown
With each daily mission you complete, a new reward will unlock, tier by tier. Here's everything you can get during Galacta's Gift event:

| Tier 3 | Better Stop That Vehicle! Spray | You've heard her say it a million times, you'll hear her say it a million times more, except now you can add to it with a spray! |
| Tier 4 | Chrono Shield Cards x4 | Even more cards, because the developers know how bad it can get when you're on a losing streak. |
| Tier 5 | Hulk Plush Spray | Give this plushie Hulk a hug, but try to avoid it from the real thing. |
| Tier 6 | Doom 2099 Nameplate | He's back with a brand new futuristic look! |
| Tier 7 | Costume Coin | The grand prize |
The Grand Prize: Your Free Costume Coin!
This is what you're here for. Yeah those Chrono Shield Cards will be useful, but there's nothing better than getting some new skins, and Marvel Rivals has an abundance of them! This special coin let's you unlock one free costume for each of the 38 characters in the game. You'll be able to get some iconic looks like Spider-Man's Bag-Man Beyond or my beloved Storm Mohawk Rock (I already have it, so my coin will have to go somewhere else this time). Just go to the Store and you'll see all available skins under the Exchange tab.
One thing to note, the Costume Coin only gets you the Skin, but not the rest of the skin bundle (Emotes, MVPs, Sprays and Nameplates). Even with this, it's such an incredible reward to get a free skin. If you already have the costumes from the list, you can also exchange the Coin for 100 Units and purchase yourself a different skin not limited to Galacta's shop.
Bonus: Season 0 Battlepass Returns
As I've mentioned before, not only are we getting a free gift from Galacta, we are also getting the return of the Season 0 Battle Pass for a limited time. If you missed it the first time around (like me because I was lazy to check when it ended and it did before I purchased it), now's your chance to grab it!
If you want to get this skin, you can do so for 590 Lattice, but make sure to do it fast, as it is very limited-time. The battlepass will be out of shop again after May 29, 2025, and you'll most likely never see these skins again.
