How to unlock Ranked in Marvel Snap

The game that snaps back.

Marvel Snap is a competitive CCG that focuses on fast-paced gameplay and a control point objective. As it is competitive, you will want to join Ranked matches and become the best in the Multiverse. But since Ranked is not available at the start, you may be wondering how to unlock Ranked mode in Marvel Snap.

You unlock Ranked mode in Marvel Snap once you reach level eight. Once you unlock Ranked, all your matches will be competitive, and you can start winning and losing Cubes. As Cubes are the main method by which you level up, you will want to get as many as possible through Ranked matches. You can also Snap to get more.

You unlock the ability to Snap and thus retreat once you unlock Ranked matches. Deciding when to Snap is crucial, as it doubles the Cubes at stake. This means that if you win, you receive double the Cubes, but you will lose double if you do not win. This is a fast way to increase your Rank, but it can also drop your Rank. Simply tap on the Cube to initiate a Snap. Be careful, though—your opponent can also Snap.

Should you Snap or Retreat?

You will want to Snap or retreat tactfully. If you think you will win the game, feel free to Snap. This will then leave your opponent to decide if they want to retreat, Snap back, or simply play the game. You can also use a Snap to try and bluff your opponent when you have no chance of winning. This introduces a different type of mind game to Marvel Snap.

Likewise, if you do not think you are winning or your opponent Snaps. It may be wise to retreat. This will lose you the game, but taking the loss is better than losing multiple Cubes and possibly a Rank.
