Sir Oofie is one of the two characters that are unlocked and playable from the start, the other being Mr Fox. He is one of the slowest characters in the game, both in terms of movement and attacks. But, build him right, and he can help you unlock better characters and weapons. These are the best Sir Oofie builds in Megabonk that completely transform this character.
Sir Oofie Starter Weapon and Passive
Sir Oofie’s signature weapon is the Sword, a basic melee weapon that swings in a single direction but can deal damage to multiple enemies at once. The attack speed is very slow at the start, and the damage isn’t the highest, but it improves a lot with the right upgrades.
His passive increases the armor by 1% per level. Find the right Tomes and Items, and he can tank extreme onslaughts. Read on as we list the best Weapons, Tomes, and Items for Sir Oofie that can be used for different builds for him.
Best Sir Oofie Megabonk Builds

Below you’ll find three Sir Oofie builds. All three are based on his natural tankiness, but are still unique in one way or another. Also, if you haven’t completed the Megabonk Pacifist challenge yet, Build 2 might interest you.
Build 1 - The Stand-n-Swing
Sir Oofie can tank damage, but slacks when it comes to dishing it out. Movement isn’t his strong suit either. So, a stand-and-deliver sort of build actually works well for him. It’s not as cool-looking as when Megachad does it, but it gets the job done.
Weapons | Tomes | Items |
---|---|---|
Sword Aura Lightning Staff Bone/Revolver | Quantity Tome Damage Tome Cooldown Tome Size Tome | Gym Sauce Oats Medkit Battery Boss Buster Turbo Socks Brass Knuckles Idle Juice Backpack Demonic Soul Beefy Ring |
Why It Works: With the Quantity and Cooldown Tome, the slow and weak sword turns into a multi-projectile cleaver. You’ll still need to aim it manually, but there’s a massive boost in its damage output, especially during swarms.
Increase in projectiles will also synergize well with Lightning Staff (which also benefits from the Damage, Cooldown, and Size Tome), Aura, and whichever fourth weapon you choose out of the two suggested above.
The Sword’s knockback and Aura will keep enemies at bay. But, pick up HP/HP Regen or Lifesteal items just so you don’t get caught lacking during boss fights. Also, don’t disregard agility completely. Movement-enhancing items and stats from the chests and Charge Shrines should also be on your radar to make sure you can move around when needed.
Build 2 - The Pacifist Challenge Build
This build is slightly more RNG-reliant, but it can be game-breaking if you get lucky early on. Plus, this is one of the best Megabonk character builds to complete the Pacifist challenge. It relies on Sir Oofie’s +1 armor gain per level up to deal Thorn damage to all enemies. Here’s how it looks and works.
Weapons | Tomes | Items |
---|---|---|
Sword Aegis Aura Blackhole | Thorns Tome Armor Tome Damage Tome Bloody Tome | Moldy Cheese Oats Beefy Ring Chonkplate Gym Sauce Cactus Demonic Soul Gas Mask Quin’s Mask |
Why It Works: Instead of going the usual DPS route, this build forces the enemies to kill themselves. And since it is tied directly to Sir Oofie’s passive, the damage will keep scaling. Add the Thorns Tome and the Spiky Shield to the mix, and you create an endless loop- more Armor > more Thorns > more Damage.
The Armor Tome (you can also use the Shield or HP Tome) makes sure that the build is sustainable and won’t get outpaced by the burst damage of mini-bosses and bosses.
For weapons, this build doesn’t need a primary DPS weapon because that could ‘steal’ the Throns’ kills. Aura and Sword, with the Damage Tome and enough weapon upgrades, should be enough while Aegis adds an extra defensive layer, and Black Hole brings enemies closer.
Build 3 - The Lifestealer
The same armor that scaled Thorns in Build 2 can also turn Sir Oofie into a Lifestealer. Check the table below to see which Weapons, Tomes, and Items to use to increase Sir Oofie’s healing and then turn it into invincibility.
Weapons | Tomes | Items |
---|---|---|
Sword Aura Revolver Bananarang/Bone | Bloody Tome Quantity Tome Cooldown Tome Armor/HP/Shield Tome | Gym Sauce Backpack Battery Medkit Spicy Meatball Chonkplate Dragonfire Holy Book |
Why It Works: This build achieves high Lifesteal, Attack Speed, and Projectile Count to constantly proc healing on Sir Oofie. The three multi-hit weapons will be dealing damage and stealing life at a much faster rate than the damage incoming from mobs and bosses. Sword will be far from your primary weapon, but the Quantity and Cooldown Tome will have it up to par just in case.
The focus here is the Bloody Tome and Chonkplate. These are the two things you need to get as soon as possible for this build to work as planned. You’ll eventually gain Overheal, thanks to these items, which creates a layer of invincibility that’s hard to bring down as you continue to level up.

Builds 1 and 3 are the best options if you're trying to set yourself up for tier completions and multi-stage runs. Build 2 is a slightly more niche build, best used for the Pacifist challenge.
