A new character (Roberto) and a new map (Graveyard) have been added to Megabonk with the quite late Spooky Update. And if you want to play Roberto, you’ll first have to unlock the Graveyard. So, we’ve put together this guide that will tell you how to unlock Roberto and the Graveyard map in Megabonk.
How to Unlock Graveyard Map in Megabonk

Graveyard is the third map in Megabonk, and players can unlock it by completing the following requirements:
- Start a run as Calcium in Desert Tier 2.
- Summon and defeat the Undead Boss.
To summon the Undead Boss in Megabonk, you’ll have to find and disturb 4 graves on the Desert Map. Each time you disturb a grave, one of the following four ghosts will spawn:
- White Ghost
- Black Ghost
- Purple Ghost
- Red Ghost
Kill all four one after the other. Once you’ve defeated all four ghosts, you’ll then have to find a skeleton’s statue. That statue will spawn the Undead Boss, also known as Calcium’s Dad. Help Calcium defeat his dad, and you’ll unlock the Graveyard Map.
Calcium's Dad uses the same attacks as the Scorpionussy boss. Avoid activating any Greed Shrines, and defeating him will be pretty easy.

How to Unlock Roberto in Megabonk
After you’ve unlocked the Graveyard Map, you can now unlock Roberto. Here’s everything you’ll have to do:
- Unlock the Scythe: Before you can unlock Roberto, you first need to unlock his starter weapon- the Scythe. To unlock the Scythe, you have to summon and defeat Big Bob, a boss on the Graveyard Map. You must find and activate four coffins on the Graveyard map. Activating a coffin will spawn a boss. Defeat that boss to collect a Crypt Key. You have to collect 4 Crypt Keys in total. Once you have the keys, escape the Crypt to go to the Big Bob boss spawn area. Defeat Big Bob to unlock the Scythe.
- Defeat Spooky Steve: If you don’t escape the Crypt in time, Spooky Steve will spawn automatically. Defeat him, and you’ll unlock Roberto.
How to Defeat Spooky Steve in Megabonk

Spooky Steve is one of the toughest bosses in Megabonk, mostly because of his massive health pool (340.3Ud). However, if you can get the right build going, you can defeat him without taking much damage. You will have to just sit and watch the fight for quite a few minutes because there’s not much movement involved.
Here’s a Megachad build that you can replicate to defeat Spooky Steve in Megabonk:
| Weapons | Tomes | Items |
|---|---|---|
| Aura Dexecutioner Frostwalker Black Hole | Size Tome XP Tome Cooldown Tome Evasion Tome | Moldy Cheese Boss Buster Big Bonk Bob Beefy Ring Gym Sauce Ghost |
The XP Tome will help you level up quickly so you can make Megachad’s Flex almost constant and gain near invincibility. Dexecutioner will be your main weapon here, doing the most damage, so make sure you take every damage and cooldown upgrade for the Dexecutioner.
Items like Moldy Cheese, Big Bonk, and Boss Buster will make the fight slightly quicker. But you’ll be fine even if you don’t get these items.
Megabonk FAQs
The graves spawn in random locations and only spawn if you start the run with Calcium. Once you find the first grave and defeat the White Ghost, a yellow exclamation mark will appear on your screen that shows the location of the next grave.
If you don't want to spend too much time fighting Spooky Steve, go all in on Damage and Attack Speed. Faster hits and high DPS are the only way to kill Spooky Steve quickly before he kills you.
Yes, Roberto is definitely worth unlocking because of his items-focused passive. Even in the new Megabonk meta, Items are extremely important, and a character that gets free chests will make for some exciting gameplay.
