This is the second update to hit the huge Minecraft 1.16 patch that added a whole bunch of new stuff to the Nether. Here's a look at the highlights of the patch, you will find links to the full notes below!

Piglins & Piglin Brute

The biggest new feature added to the game in the 1.16.2 update is the Piglin Brute! These are a brand new enemy that live in bastions down in the Nether and will fight to protect the treasure that lies within them. Unfortunately, for the player, you can't distract these hardened fighters with gold! They will attack you on sight, whether you are ready to fight or not. The Piglin Brute wields an axe and don't wear armor, because they are already tough enough as it is!

Piglins will now become angry when a player opens or destroy a Chest Minecart. The bartering loot has also been tweaked.

Bastion Remnants

The chests that spawn in bastions has been tweaked, and they will more likely spawn at the top of gilded blackstone.

Blocks

Brewing Stands can now be crafted with blackstone, both kinds of lanterns can be waterlogged, crimson and warped fungus can be placed on mycelium, and chains can be placed in all orientations.

Mobs

Endermen can no longer place their held block into bedrock, and Zoglins can now be leashed.

Accessibility

Distortion effects like nausea and the Nether portal overlay can be reduced, and field of view effects can also be changed. Chat delay has now been added to the Chat Settings screen.

Villagers

Villagers will emit green particles when they join a village, set a home bed, or acquire a new job site or profession! Villagers will lose their job site when changing dimensions.
