This important feature may finally drop in the laps of Xbox Minecraft players.

Spotted by an eagle-eyed Xbox Insider member, it appears that Xbox Series S/X is bringing capabilities to Minecraft that have been long-promised for the game. Ray Tracing seems to be a very likely (and very welcome) addition to the sandbox game in the near future.

There's no telling when these capabilities will be added to the game, but some fans speculate it could be as soon as the next patch. Many Minecraft fans have expected Ray Tracing to be added to the Xbox version of the game for quite a while, so to see a confirmation has been quite exciting for the community. Minecraft nor Xbox has confirmed any of the details surrounding Ray Tracing in Minecraft on Xbox Series S/X.
