Best hitting team!

Whether you are playing online, starting a franchise, or just playing a quick game, having a good hitting team can be extremely helpful. You will want a balance of good power hitters, contact hitters, and great plate vision all around. Here is the best hitting team and some other good options in MLB: The Show 22.

Los Angeles Dodgers

The Los Angeles Dodgers are currently the best hitting team in MLB: The Show 22. The Dodgers' batting lineup is very well-balanced, and many of their hitters are versatile with contact and power. The Dodgers are led by Trea Turner, Freddie Freeman, and Mookie Betts. The lead-off to the clean-up hitters are all very dangerous and can get on base and create scoring opportunities early in the order.

The Dodgers may not have the most home-run potential in the batting order, but every players is a quality hitter, which can be much more effective. Unless trades or extreme batting slumps occur, the Dodgers may stay in first place as the best hitting team, but there are a couple other teams with very good hitting as well.

Toronto Blue Jays

The Blue Jays are another great hitting team with 2021 HR leader Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Teoscar Hernandez, and Bo Bichette. The Blue Jays' young lineup can put up a ton of runs at any point in the order. The Blue Jays do tend to struggle a little bit with right-handed pitchers since the whole order bats righty. However, many of the players still have great hitting stats against both right and left-handed pitchers.

Houston Astros

The Astros hold the top batting average in the league for good reason. Jose Altuve, Alex Bregman, and Yordan Alvarez are all great hitters and can send one deep during any at-bat. The Astros have great power hitters and a few quality contact hitters later in the order. However, seven through nine in the order are not great hitters, and speed is lacking throughout.

Philadelphia Phillies

If you want to swing for the fences, the Phillies are a good option with power hitters Kyle Schwarber, Nick Castellanos, and Bryce Harper leading off the batting order. The Phillies may not have great contact hitting all-around, but if you can get players on base, much of their lineup is capable of belting one deep. The Phillies require some skill to bat well with, since many of their players do not have great plate vision. However, if you can make contact, you can be a nightmare to face in the batter's box.
