As you progress in Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds, you will collect a variety of familiars, resources, and equipment. As you level up and become stronger, you will not need your earlier gear because you get better equipment. Fortunately, you can salvage equipment. To salvage equipment in Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds, click the three lines in the top-right corner of the screen. Next, click on the Equipment tab. You will see a hammer icon in the bottom-right box—click on this. This will bring up the salvage menu, and you can select which equipment you want to salvage. You cannot salvage equipment you currently have equipped.

What you receive depends on what equipment you salvage. For example, if you salvage armor, you will receive Armor Crystalsweapons will give Weapon Crystals. These can be used to craft other equipment. You may receive additional materials and items depending on the level of the salvaged equipment.

What equipment should I salvage?

When it comes to salvaging equipment, you should salvage old equipment that you no longer need. These tend to be weaker than the newer gear you get, so you will not need it. The materials you receive from salvaging are more valuable than keeping old equipment in your inventory.
