How to tame a Familiar in Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds

Familiars play a big role in Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds, and you will be collecting a lot of them. While you can receive many via storylines, quests, and summons, you can also tame familiars. This may leave you wondering how to tame a familiar in Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds.

To tame familiars in Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds, you will need to acquire Biscuits and find Brighterflies. With Biscuits in hand, approach the group of Brighterflies and press the hand icon. This will transform the blue butterflies into a familiar.

Next, click on the heart icon that appears beside the familiar. You can then give it a Biscuit and attempt to tame it. If you are successful, the familiar will be tamed and join your roster. If you are unsuccessful, you can try again. It is worth taming familiars even if you do not plan to use them as they can be sacrificed to power up other familiars.

Where to find Biscuits

You can find Biscuits as you progress through the game, but it is much quicker and easier to purchase them. Press the three lines icon in the top-right corner of the screen, then select the Shop and go to the Basic Shop. Once there, select Adventure Items. Here, you will find Biscuits. There are seven different types of Biscuits, and you can buy a max of 30 per week. We recommend stocking up on each type, as different familiars prefer different Biscuits.

Where to find Brighterflies

Brighterflies can be found in various areas all throughout the world, especially near monsters. You can find them randomly from the start of the game. They appear as blue butterflies that give off an aura of light. We recommend looking in the Golden Grove, particularly the most northwestern room.
