What’s changed in Ni no Kuni Wrath of the White Witch Remastered?

It's Oliver's journey—but in HD.

Ni no Kuni Wrath of the White Witch is a dynamic combat RPG known for its Studio Ghibli art (and animation sequences). The original game was released globally in 2013 but was made available in Japan earlier. Wrath of the White Witch was one of the best-selling games of its game, and later on, it even encouraged Level-5 to create a sequel for it.

Nearly a decade later, Ni no Kuni Wrath of the White Witch Remastered is releasing on PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam. Here’s how it compares with the original game.

All differences in the Ni No Kuni Wrath of the White Witch Remastered

  • Enhanced graphics and FPS
  • More visual setting options
  • DLC familiars that used to be pre-order bonuses for the original game (Griffin Golden, Mite Golden Gogo, Golden Hurly, Flutterby, and Draggle)

We know there isn’t a lot, but Ni no Kuni Wrath of the White Witch Remastered is truly just an enhanced port of the original PS3 game. But that’s why it’s called a remaster and not a remake or reboot! Still, it’s a game with more than 100 hours of content, so it’s more than worth your money.

If you don’t think Ni no Kuni Wrath of the White Witch is the type of game you’d like to play on the big screen, don’t worry. A port of the original game is also available on the Nintendo Switch.

If you liked Ni no Kuni Wrath of the White Witch Remastered, its equally stunning sequel, Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom, is also available on most gaming platforms.
