How to check if Once Human has controller support

Throughout the many beta tests, Once Human regrettably did not have controller support available despite a big controller player base asking for this feature to be added to the game. There are workaround solutions to add and use a controller that the players had to implement during tests.

But does the full release have this feature? Currently, Once Human does not have controller support.

The easiest way to check if this feature has been added is to open the game and go through the settings. If there is only a Keyboard tab available, then controller support is not in the game yet. The second way to check for any signs of this feature being added to the game is to go to the Once Human website or official social media accounts.

Originally, the Once Human full release (on July 9, 2024) was intended with controller support, according to a reply from the official X account @OnceHuman_. This made many PC players who prefer a controller over a mouse and keyboard happy.

However, in the days after that reply, the official account instead stated there would be no controller support on the day of the full Once Human release due to technical issues and adjustments that need to be made.

The developers are working to implement that feature as soon as possible, most likely in August, according to their website.

Other features that aren't available in Once Human at launch include Steam Deck support and DLSS. The game also supports English, German, French, Japanese, Korean, and Traditional Chinese, but they plan to add more languages in the future, with Spanish and Russian planned for a September update.
