Two flashy car decals added in Pacific drive update, more content on the way

Dragon decals to scare off the Pickpockets.

If you thought the drive was over, think again! Much to the delight of fans (me included), Pacific Drive has added a free content update, and there are plans for more—not just bug fixes and quality of life updates.

What's in the Pacific Drive Year of the Dragon free update

The Year of the Dragon update for Pacific Drive includes two car decals which you can find in the Olympic Exclusion Zone. I suggest checking through Arda trucks and Pneumatic Deposit boxes, as they usually have one or two.

The first decal is the Year of the Dragon, celebrating 2024 according to the Chinese Zodiac and hoping to bring luck to all Drivers on their trips in the zone. The second decal set is inspired by the game Ultros (a fun Metroidvania with a psychedelic art style).

Pacific Drive Future Plans

After you manage to hunt down the decals, be prepared for future updates currently in the works. I greatly enjoyed the game and was happy with what we've had so far, but knowing that the journey isn't over is fantastic news.

With the game out, Ironwood Studios plans to take it slow with the updates, but it's good to know it won't just be bug fixes, performance, and quality of life improvements. In the upcoming months, the developers plan to release various free updates with new content and exciting features.

They have decided to keep the air of mystery that is prevalent in Pacific Drive, so we have no details on what exactly these updates will contain, just that they will be meaningful content. Perhaps new anomalies and conditions? New missions? Something entirely new to the game? Who knows? I can't wait to find out.

The first update will be coming soon, but no exact date has been announced yet. We know there is a new thing coming with that patch that Alex Dracott (the Creative Director of Pacific Drive) can't stop playing with. I really want to know what that is, but we'll have to be patient until they decide to drop the patch.
