This particular Palia quest conundrum pops up during the Keeper of the Waves quest. You can’t jump forward to this, as you’ll need to have completed the main quest Look to the Sky with Zeki, which leads to the Temple of Gales. From there you’ll complete Eye of the Storm, after which Einar will give you the main quest Keeper of Waves

How to find Hephaestus's Nickname for Keeper of the Waves - Palia

Keeper of the Waves is in three parts. After asking around the village (part 1) you’ll find that Caleri knows the location of the overseer station, and marks it on your map (part 2). But when you arrive you need to find a way to hack the mainframe and override the lockdown protocol. After talking to the Mysterious Object, this is when you need to log in with the correct code, Hephaestus's Nickname.

The code is right under your nose. If you look around the room you’ll see a tablet (titled Betrayal) to the left of the Mysterious Object. Read it to find the code. If you’re playing in English, the clue is ASTA. If you’re not playing in English, you’re code may be different (or you can change your language settings) but it will be in the same location.
