If you are looking for a quick escape from danger (I know I am since I always pick fights with everyone I shouldn't), then you need to find and catch Dogen in Palworld for its great teleportation skills.
Where to find Dogen in Palworld - Location
Dogen is a Neutral Pal which can be found only on Sakurajima Island. There will usually be a few roaming around the Sakura Dancing Shrine in the cherry blossom forest at -619,224. These Pals are usually lvl 45+, so you need to be well-prepared for a fight.
How to catch a Dogen in Palworld
To catch a Dogen, you need to bring Dark-type Pals. When it comes to this type of Pal, Astegon is the best of the best. You can also add Bellanoir, Blazehowl Noct and Frostallion Noct to the team.
When it comes to equipment, make sure you have good armor. If you don't have Plasteel Armor, then at least try to craft Pal Metal Armor to keep you safe. A Hyper Shield would also be a great addition to your protection.
I prefer to use the Assault Rifle when hunting down individual Pals, but it's a good idea to keep a Rocket Launcher or a Meteor Launcher (or both) on you just in case you end up in danger.
How to breed Dogen in Palworld
If you don't want to run around a forest trying to find one, you can also breed a Dogen in Palworld. To do so, you need to set up a Breeding Farm and bake a Cake. Luckily, a Cake only requires:
- Red Berries x 8
- Eggs x 8
- Milk x 7
- Flour x 5
- Honey x 2
To hatch a Dogen, you will need to breed Croajiro with Sootseer. Croajiro is pretty easy to find, but I like to farm this Pal at -463,132 in the Mushroom Wetland, while you can farm Sootsteer in the area around the Cemetary at -666,26.
All Dogen Skils in Palworld
Dogen is a very useful Pal to have on your team and in base. When you have it on your team, you can use Dogen's Partner Skill Homeward Prayer to teleport to the nearest base, much like you can with the Homeward Thundercloud (except you don't have to craft anything).
This Skill goes on a cooldown for 1000 seconds. It also doesn't work when you are getting overwhelmed in a Dungeon, so keep that in mind. When it comes to Work Suitability, Dogen has:
- Handiwork lv3
- Lumbering lv2
- Transporting lv2
- Gathering lv2
- Medicine Production lv1
With this collection of skills, Dogen is a great Pal to have at base, especially if you are looking for a jack of all trades.
