Collecting more Pals is done much easier with Breeding, but a big part of the process requires plenty of patience, as the Egg Incubation works on hatching your egg. Thankfully, there are a few ways you can speed up that process. Here's how!
How to make eggs hatch faster in Palworld
Waiting for an egg to hatch is the longest part of the breeding process. Depending on the size of the egg, it can take up to a whopping 16 hours of play-time, but there are a few ways to make it go faster.
Adjust your difficulty and World Settings
One of the most effective ways to lower the wait time is to adjust your World Settings. You can do this at any time, no matter if you already started a world, by pressing the Change World Settings button on the World Select page.
Playing on a lower difficulty will automatically shorten the Incubation period. The lowest difficulty, Casual, will place the Incubation on a 0, making the hatching around 10 minutes for a Large egg and 20 minutes for a Huge (as long as you care for them correctly). Even if you want to play on a higher difficulty, you can adjust the hatch time through the Custom Settings menu under the Difficulty tab.

Find the proper temperature and climate
Eggs also require the proper temperatures and climates to hatch faster. Depending on what type of eggs you have, they might need it to be cooler or hotter. For example, a Scorching Egg will need hotter temperatures, while a Frozen Egg will need a cooler temperature. You can fix this by placing heat sources next to the Egg Incubator, like campfires or heaters, or inversely, placing the egg in a colder climate or cooler, like the Snow Biome.
All Egg Incubation Comfortable Temperatures
Here are all the egg types temperature preferences:
- Common - Hot/Cold (+0)
- Damp - Cold (-1)
- Dark - Cold (-1)
- Dragon - Cold (-1)
- Electric - Hot/Cold (+0)
- Frozen - Cold (-1)
- Rocky - Hot (+2)
- Scorching - Hot (+1)
- Verdant - Hot/Cold (+0)
Since you can have up to three bases, some of the best base locations would be spread around the different biomes, so you can ensure you have a climate fit for each egg type. The different climates around the biomes will be better suited for eggs requiring cooler or hotter temperatures (i.e. Scorching Egg in the Volcano Biome), and you can use coolers and heaters to make up the difference. However, you can also find a location with +0 ambient temperature, making it easier to incubate and change the temperature yourself.
How to tell the temperature in Palworld
You can check what temperature it is by looking at the gauge at the bottom of the screen. This gauge has four lines on each side, the cold temperature being toward the blue side (- temperatures), the hot temperature being toward the red side (+ temperatures), and the center being 0. The climates around the biomes will adjust the temperature accordingly, but temperature can also lower and rise based on the time of day.
Depending on when you put your egg in incubation, you might need to raise the temperature by one by placing a heater beside it, but when it gets further in the day, you may need to lower the temperature by one again by taking the heat source away. Watch the temperature gauge carefully to see how you need to adjust.
Take good care of your eggs and adjust your settings to speed up the process to your liking. Eggs are an essential part of collecting more Pals and discovering more combinations, so you will want to find the most efficient way to farm them!
