Palworld developers, PocketPair, are facing criticism from an evergrowing fanbase, especially ones focused on multiplayer. Because of the ongoing issues, developers have announced "some changes to the multiplayer system infrastructure."
According to the official Palworld X/Twitter account @Palworld_EN, work on server infrastructure will start on January 31, 2024, at 10:00 PST. Changes won't affect players and their saves; those great Palworld weapons you found are safe. Servers will be online while developers implement multiplayer improvements, but expect connection issues.
Players face mostly stability issues expected from the game in early access combined with global success. By looking at Palworld patch notes, you can see that the main focus is fixing crashes. Of course, stability is just one part of the problem.
Many bugs still affect daily Palworld gameplay; whether you're playing Steam or Xbox version, you will experience bugs. Luckily, we're yet to encounter game-breaking glitches, except for one situation when we clipped into the wall. We managed to save our gear thanks to synchronization issues with a server. Ultimately, it's all part of the early access game experience.
