How to play Party Animals in Split Screen mode

To play with friends locally, make sure you have additional controllers connected to your console or PC and have them signed in to their own accounts or as guest accounts. Then, navigate to the Custom Game menu from the main screen.

Here, you'll have to create a new lobby and select a game mode and maps you'd like to play on. You can also choose to lock the room so it's private to just local players or leave it open for other online players to join. However, this also means you must have an online connection to play, even if it's just you locally.

Once the room is created, press the button shown at the bottom of the screen to Add Player. It will detect the other controller connected and ask if you'd like to add a player to the lobby. Confirm Yes on the screen, and you should see them added to the player list.

How many players can join Split Screen in Party Animals?

You can add up to four players on the same local device as long as you have a controller and account for them to play under. However, that doesn't mean the server is limited to only four players. You can have other online players join the lobby as well, through a lobby code, or leave it open for other random players.

You can try out a bunch of different modes with friends locally since you're in control of all the details and rules through the Custom Games. Plus, you'll still be able to challenge other players online by leaving your lobby open for others to join you. Try it out today!
