Persona 3 Reload name order (guide)

It's always the naming struggle for JRPGs with no-named MCs.

So you booted up Persona 3 Reload, played the intro, and the next thing is you have a dilemma where you don't know the order of the protagonist's name in the contract. In this guide, I'll provide the correct name order for your protagonist in Persona 3 Reload.

What is the correct name order in Persona 3 Reload?

If you've ever wondered how you can input the canonical name of the protagonist in Persona 3 Reload, it's understandable since, in the standard Japanese tradition, you'll usually put the last name first, before the given name (i.e. Yuki Makoto).

In Persona 3 Reload (English Version), upon the contract signing scene, you should write it in the standard way wherein the given name comes before the last name (i.e. Makoto Yuki). Writing your name order this way will result in other peers calling you Yuki-Kun, which is canonically correct if you're basing your playthrough on the movie.

Other canon names of the protagonist in Persona 3 Reload

Alternatively, if you want to follow the manga adaptation of Persona 3, the correct name for the protagonist is Minato Arisato. However, if you're a fan of the live musical adaptation of Persona 3, you can use Sakuya Shiomi when signing the contract with the mysterious boy.

Either of the three names is canonically correct, and no one will judge you for using any of them during your playthrough. However, I do recommend using Makoto Yuki as it's the most widely adapted name for the protagonist.
