How many steps to unlock new Pikmin in Pikmin Bloom

Pikmin Bloom is Niantic's most recent project. They have tackled the Pokémon series, Harry Potter, and even Catan while incorporating AR features to give their games a unique feel. With Pikmin Bloom, they have done the same with the Pikmin series.

This mobile game features AR and the same incentive to get outside and move that Pokémon Go and Niantic's other games have. Players must plant their Pikmin and walk, using a step tracker to grow and unlock their Pikmin. There are various them in the game, and each has a different number of steps to unlock them.

This number varies from 1,000 to 10,000. More common Pikmin like the Red will only take about 1,000 steps to grow, whereas more uncommon Pikmin can take a much larger amount of steps up to 10,000. When players are planting flowers on their walk, they will see an increase in Pikmin growth, making this the most optimal way to grow Pikmin quickly.

Having more Pikmin allows the player to do various tasks and follows the simple rule of "the more the merrier," so it is in the player's best interests to grow and unlock more Pikmin. So get off the couch and get to walking!
