How to counter Garganacl in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

Garganacl is a beast of a Pokémon, having incredible HP, Attack, Defense, and Special Defense. Especially with its Purifying Salt ability and signature move, Salt Cure deals additional damage against Steel and Water-type Pokémon. This means that two types super effective against Garganacl are risky choices, especially considering it can likely tank one hit.

For that reason, we recommend using a strong Grass, Ground, or Fighting-type Pokémon, preferably one that focuses on Special Attack, as this will do more damage than physical attacks.
