What is the best Nature for Smoliv, Dolliv, and Arboliva in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet?

The best Nature for Smoliv, Dolliv, and Arboliva in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet are the following:

  • Modest (+Sp. Atk, -Atk)
  • Quiet (+Sp. Atk, -Speed)

Smoliv, Dolliv, and Arboliva have extremely high Sp. Atk power, so definitely capture one with a Modest or Quiet Nature. You can sacrifice either Speed or Attack for it. Its Speed is laughably low, and Physical Attacks aren’t needed when you have this many points in your Sp. Atk stat. Avoid Natures that impede Arboliva's defensive growth, or it'll never have the opportunity to nuke its enemies.

How to choose the best Nature in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet

Since Smoliv has a naturally high base Special Attack, Natures such as Modest or Rash are good for it. This is the principle of choosing the best Nature for any Pokémon. Look at its highest base stat and choose a Nature that has that stat to make it grow faster.

Still, our suggestions aren't the only correct answers. Smoliv, Dolliv, and Arboliva will perform well with any Nature that doesn't impede its Sp. Atk. Competitive players might instead go for a Nature that increases its Speed so their Arboliva can surprise the competition.
