Pokémon Scarlet & Violet Greninja Tera Raid Strategy

Even with the right Pokémon, you need to use an effective strategy to take down Greninja in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Greninja has the Poison Tera type during this raid, meaning it can use Poison, Water, and Dark-type attacks with stab. Here are the moves Greninja knows during the 7-Star Tera Raid.

  • Hydro Pump
  • Gunk Shot
  • Ice Beam
  • Night Slash

While you can use many strategies and combinations, a Pokémon fan named 101Leafy has devised a strategy that can defeat Greninja in one turn. It relies on Stored Power Armarouge, but you will need to play with friends to pull this off, as it requires intense communication successfully. Here is how to beat the 7-Star Greninja Tera Raid with this strategy in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet.

  • Oranguru
    • Ability: Symbiosis
    • Held Item: Choice Specs Holder
    • Turn One Move: Foul Play (On Armarouge)
  • Florges
    • Ability: Symbiosis
    • Held Item: Policy Holder
    • Turn One Move: Helping Hand (On Armarouge)
  • Mimikyu
    • Ability: Disguise
    • Held Item: Petaya Berry
    • Turn One Move: Fling (On Armarouge)
  • Armarouge
    • Ability: Weak Armor
    • Held Item: Weakness Policy
    • Turn One Move: Stored Power

This strategy will activate Armarouge's natural Weak Armor ability and trigger the Weakness Policies of its allies. This will boost Armarogue's Special Attack and allow it to deliver a devastating Stored Power. If you do this in this order, you will be able to one-shot Greninja during the raid.
