How to evolve Snorunt into Froslass in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet

Choose your evolution.

Snorunt isn't necessarily the most popular ice-type Pokémon across all the installments, but it's definitely one of the most interesting. Introduced in the third generation of games, Snorunt can evolve into two different Pokémon according to a set of different parameters. This is the same situation in the latest Pokémon Scarlet & Violet. Depending on both your preference and the gender of your Snorunt, you can evolve it into either a Glalie or a Froslass. To evolve into Glalie, you'll need to train up your Snorunt to a whopping level 42. But, how exactly can you evolve Snorunt in Froslass in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet?

How to get Froslass in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet

The first thing you need to do in order to acquire a Froslass is to ensure that your Snorunt is female. Male Snorunt can never evolve into Froslass so if the one you currently have is male, your best bet would be to evolve it into a Glalie. Then you will need to expose the Snorunt to a Dawn Stone at any point in the day. After that, a cutscene will unfold in which your Snorunt evolves into Froslass.

Unlike Glalie, you don't need to level up Snorunt to any particular level before doing this. However, it is important to note that once you do this, the Dawn Stone will be used up and you will no longer be able to use it as a held item. But, you'll have a new addition to both your party and your Pokédex as a result!
