How to Fly/Glide in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet

Soar to great heights.

In Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, you explore the Paldea region, a vast island with different biomes and environments. For most of your journey, you will be on foot or traveling by land. Eventually though, you will be able to fly. This may leave you wondering how to unlock flying and gliding in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

How to get Fly/Glide in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

To get the fly ability in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, you will need to defeat the Quaking Earth Titan. This is the Titan Donphan, Great Tuck in Pokémon Scarlet, and Iron Treads in Pokémon Violet. Once you defeat this Titan, Koraidon and Miraidon will gain the ability to fly and glide.

To fly and glide in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, you must press the B button to jump and then press B again to start gliding. This will be more effective if you do so from greater heights. Gliding is a great way to travel across Paldea quickly.

Where to get the Fly/Glide ability in In Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

You can find the Quaking Earth Titan on the east side of Paldea. We have marked its location in the image above. The Quaking Earth Titan is level 44, so you will want to bring a strong team to take it down. The Great Tusk is Ground and Fighting-type, while the Iron Treads is Ground and Steel-type.
