Paradox Amoonguss is an end-game encounter, so you will not be able to catch it until you have gained access to Area Zero at the center of the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet map. Brute Bonnet only spawns in the Great Crater of Paldea, which you can travel to immediately after finishing the Starfall Street, Path of Legends, and Victory Road campaigns. Once you have the late-game area unlocked, you will be able to find the ancient Amoonguss variant in the Paldea Crater location detailed below.

Paradox Amoonguss will start spawning all over the Paldea Crater after you have turned on Research Station No.3 in the final storyline. However, the quickest way to find the ancient form is to use the Zero Gate fast travel point, which sits below Medali City. The main Brute Bonnet spawn location is just outside Research Station No.2, which you can warp by using the green portal in the Zero Gate. After exiting the research station, you will find the ancient Amoonguss walking around the grassy terrain just a few feet away from the science lab. You can re-enter the area repeatedly to force the Pokémon to spawn in, should it not appear immediately. Because Brute Bonnet is exclusive to Pokémon Scarlet, Pokémon Violet users will need to trade with another player to obtain the mossy ancient form.
