With each new Pokémon game, fans can further customize their characters, including clothing and appearance. At the start of the game, your character will be wearing a hat, but this can be removed. This may leave you wondering how to take off your hat in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

How to remove your hat in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

Fortunately, removing your hat in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet is an easy process. This can be done in the Appearance Menu. Here is how to take off and remove your hat in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

  • Press Left on the D-pad to open the Appearance Menu.
  • Navigate to the Hat tab.
  • Find the hat you currently have equipped; this will be marked by a green check.
  • Press the X button.
  • Press the B button.

Once you do this, you will remove your hat, and you can see your character's hair. There are many different hats and helmets to choose from, but you can also rock no hat. If you go this route, make sure you visit a salon have the hairstyle you like equipped as well.
