Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Paldea Points of Interest

The Paldea region is huge, offering many exciting adventures in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. While we don't know everything about the region, we have gleaned some information from trailers on The Pokémon Company YouTube channel and the official Pokémon Scarlet and Violet website.

Redditor CrypticKing27 has also analyzed the Paldea region map and marked various points of interest. This includes some that will be familiar to fans and some new mysteries. Here are some POIs in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

Outdoor Pokémon Centers

These are a new type of Pokémon Center found only in the Paldea region. What differentiates them from regular Pokémon Centers is that you can find them in the wilderness and heal your Pokémon without going inside. Keep a lookout for their large signs, which light up at night, for a quick rest.

Mysterious Towers

Scattered throughout the map are a series of strange towers. We do not yet know their purpose, but it can be assumed they have something to do with Pokémon Scarlet and Violet's treasure hunt quest. How they will impact this remains a mystery.

Flags

Across Paldea are lines of flags that range in color. You can red, blue, and yellow flags in specific areas on the map. These may indicate levels of difficulty, smaller regions within Paldea, and much more. We do not know their significance or why they are placed there.

Gyms

Gyms are a classic feature in the Pokémon series. As expected, there are eight gyms in Paldea, and they are found throughout the various cities located in this region. Defeating Pokémon gyms is essential to any Pokémon quest and necessary to take on the Pokémon League.

Lighthouses

Along Paldea's coast are four lighthouses, placed almost in each island's direction. These most likely have something to do with sailing, as Paldea is completely surrounded by water. These may not play a major role in the games' story, but they are certainly a point of interest.

Biomes

We can see several different types of biomes and natural features in Paldea, indicating that there will be a diverse spread of Pokémon. This includes plains, mountains, snow, desert, ocean, shore, rivers, forests, and more. With such varying areas, you will undoubtedly encounter a wide range of Pokémon.
