Pokémon Scarlet and Violet will introduce several new features for players while exploring the vast and mystical land of Paldea. You will come across various new Pokémon, new characters, Gyms, and much more in this brilliant open world. There are eight Pokémon Gyms in the Paldea region, each of which features a unique Gym Test. Naturally, players are eager to know these Gym Tests and how they work. Here's what you need to know about Gym Tests in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.
How do Gym Tests work in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet?
In Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, players must pass an essential test before being eligible to challenge any Gym Leader. While you are at a Pokémon Gym, the first trial, known as Gym Tests, will be available. This feature was briefly shown in the official Seek Your Treasure video, and fans were quick to spot all the salient features. One of the Gym Tests will involve seeking out the Sunflora in Artazon.

Gym Tests are unique for each gym, and you will learn the customs and traditions of every city while completing them. This will also give players an insight into the type of Pokémons you can expect to see in the Gym Battles. For instance, Brassius, the Gym Leader of Artazon, uses the Gym Test to judge a player's aesthetic sensibilities. After passing the Gym Test, Trainers will be allowed to challenge Gym Leaders in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.
Players will also meet several new characters like Geeta, Mela, Brassius, Penny, Professors Sada and Turo, and more. Geeta is the chairwoman of the Pokémon League, which controls all the Pokémon Gyms in the Paldea region. You will also encounter characters like Nemona, who shows players how to become a Trainer in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.
