Where to catch Frigibax in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet

Frigibax will become the powerful Baxcalibur.

Every Pokémon generation introduces a pseudo legendary Pokémon, which are typically some of the strongest Pokémon outside legendary and mythical Pokémon. Pokémon Scarlet and Violet add Frigibax and its evolutionary line, the Ice and Dragon-type pseudo-Pokémon. This may leave you wondering where to catch and how to evolve Frigibax in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

You will primarily find Frigibax in the North Provinces of Paldea in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. You can also find it in some West Provinces and East Provinces. We found ours in Glaseado Mountain. Keep in mind that Frigibax is a rare encounter, so you may need to search for this Ice and Dragon-type Pokémon for some time.

How to evolve Frigibax and Arctibax in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet

Frigibax will evolve into Arctibax at level 35, and then raising Arctibax to level 54 will cause it to evolve into Baxcalibur. Frigibax and its evolutions are the pseudo legendary of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, meaning it has later evolutions than most Pokémon. As a result, your Arctibax may fall off in power as it gets to higher levels before evolving into Baxcalibur.

Using the right nature, you can increase Frigibax, Arctibax, and Baxcalibur's strengths. A nature that increases its Attack will allow the Pokémon to hit that much harder. We recommend an Adamant or Naughty nature, with slight favoritism toward the Adamant nature.
