Best nature for Onix and Steelix in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl

Putting the perfect Pokémon team together is always a challenge and this is no different for Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. Regardless of which Pokémon you use, you will need to match up the best nature to maximize their strengths. Onix and Steelix are excellent additions to any team.

There are a few options for Onix and Steelix's best nature, but overall the Pokémon are best suited as defensive roles. You can see these options below.

• Careful - (+Special Defense, -Special Attack)
• Impish - (+Defense, -Special Attack)
• Relaxed - (+Defense, -Speed)
• Sassy - (+Special Defense, -Speed)

We recommend either the Impish or Sassy nature. Which one you select depends on if you want to focus Onix and Steelix on a physical defense role or boost its special defense to round it out. Their speed is already low enough a small drop won't hurt it. Additionally, this will increase the odds that Gyro Ball deals maximum damage.

The Careful and Impish nature are also good choices as they will increase either Onix and Steelix's defense or special defense, depending on which you go with. As they do not use a special attack, sacrificing this stat will not be a big drawback.
