Best Pokémon Against Primal Groudon in Pokémon GO

Despite being one of the most fearsome legendary Pokémon in existence, Primal Groudon may not be as tough to beat in Pokémon GO as it is in other games. Yes, Primal Groudon's stats are gigantic, and it has plenty of hard-hitting coverage moves. Due to Primal Groudon's typing, however, there is an easy strategy trainers can use to beat him in a short time.

Which Pokémon have the best matchup against Primal Groudon in Pokémon GO?

The bottom line is this: trainers should simply use Water Pokémon to beat Primal Groudon in Pokémon GO. Primal Groudon is both Fire-type and Ground-type, so it's quadruple weak to Water. Despite Groudon's humongous bulk, it's not going to be able to resist an onslaught of Water-type attacks.

None of these Pokémon take longer than 1000 seconds to secure a KO on Primal Groudon. This means that four trainers with some of these counters can easily beat Primal Groudon in a raid.

At the same time, trainers shouldn't feel discouraged from bringing Water types that aren't seen in this top ten. Ordinary names like Kingler, Primarina, and Omastar still have great times to kill against Primal Groudon.

For the best results, I would say Gyarados is probably the safest option. As a Water-type and a Flying-type, it resists both of Primal Groudon's typings. It also only takes neutral from Solarbeam, which is one of Primal Groudon's charge moves.
