How to get Pokéball Stickers in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl

Add some flourish to your Pokémon's entrance!

Pokéball stickers are wonderful cosmetics that have finally made a return to the series. They let you outfit your Pokéball with a variety of fun effects whenever it releases your Pokémon into the field, adding some extra personality to your playthrough!

Where they're found

The better question to ask might be where aren't they found? Pokéball stickers are found around every corner of Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.

The most notable place to find stickers would be from beating the Gym Leaders of the Sinnoh region, but you can get them from plenty of other characters as well. There's even a random NPC on Route 209 that gives you a few. Your best bet if you want more stickers is to talk to as many NPCs as you can!

As for a simple and repeatable source of stickers, there's the Berry shop in Floaroma town. You can trade various berries for stickers there.

How to use them

You'll first need to beat down your first pair of Team Galactic grunts in Jubilife City. Immediately afterward, a friendly woman will run up and give you the ability to apply stickers to your Pokéballs.

In your menu, you'll find a new Ball Capsules option. Once in, select a capsule, select the sticker design you want to apply from the bar at the top, then you can place it on one of the squares below.

You can also place stickers on the capsule in 3D mode, letting you more precisely place where you want the effects to appear. To do this, press Y on the capsule select screen. You can put up to twenty stickers on every ball.

You can use R to swap to more rows of stickers (if you have more), and you can use the right thumbstick to swap to the back of the capsule. And if you want to see how the capsule will look when activated, just press +!

You can have up to 12 designs saved at once. Unfortunately, each design can only be assigned to a single Pokémon at a time, and each sticker can only be used on one capsule at a time. You can get around the first problem by creating multiple of the same design, but you'll need to put in some effort to find more of your desired stickers for that (which is also the solution to the second problem).
