How to make money fast in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl

That's a lot of money for a 10 year old.

As players begin their journey through the Sinnoh region, either as returning veterans or as newcomers, they will meet lots of Pokémon. They will also notice that they need to make money if they want to buy Pokéballs, potions, and other items.

There are a multitude of ways to make money in the games. But there are ways to increase the amount of money you make. Here is how to make money fast in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.

Amulet Coin

One of the easiest ways to make money is to get the Amulet Coin. This held item can be found in Amity Square in Hearthome City. Once given to a Pokémon, it will double prize money from battles that Pokémon participated in. Here is how to get the Amulet Coin in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.

  • Get a cute Pokémon, your starter will work as well as Buneary, Happiny, Clefairy, Pikachu, Psyduck, Pachirisu, or Drifloon.
  • Go to Amity Square in Hearthome City.
  • From the east entrance, head north to the two ruins. Go inside the one on the left and you will find the Amulet Coin.

Luck Incense

The Luck Incense acts the same as the Amulet Coin, doubling prize money from battles that the Pokémon holding it participated in. The effects of the Amulet Coin and Luck Incense do not stack. Here is how to get the Luck Incense in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.

  • You will need both the Rock Smash and Surf Hidden Moves.
  • Go to the Ravaged Path on Route 204.
  • Use Surf at the first water you see upon entering the cave.
  • Exit the water to the left and follow the path to the Luck Incense.

Rich Trainers

If you don't mind beating up on some trainers, you can use the VS Seeker to rebattle Rich Trainers and Rich Couples. Make note of which ones give a lot of money after battle and use the VS Seeker to challenge them again. Keep in mind you have to walk 100 steps to recharge it before you can use it again.
