Pokémon Go: Charmander and free Remote Raid Passes coming this October

Information on the Pokémon GO October Community Event!

It's almost the month of horror, and what better way to spend it than hunting down some Pokémon! There was a vote for what Pokémon users all over the world wanted to be featured in the October Community Day events, and Charmander is that Pokémon! But wait, there's more! As there's also a limited-time promotion for Remote Raid Passes as well!

The October Community Day starts on Saturday the 17th of October, from 11 am to 5 pm local time. What does this event day entail, you ask? Well, we'll tell you.

  • Charmander will be appearing the wild more often, as well as the shiny variant!
  • If you evolve Charmeleon during the event or up to two hours after, you'll get a Charizard that knows a special move, Dragon Breath.
  • Take as many snapshots as you want for a surprise.
  • There's a special one time purchase of the Community Day Box that includes: 1,280 PokéCoins, an Elite Charged TM, three Super Incubators, three Star Pieces, and 30 Ultra Balls!
  • Complete the event-exclusive Timed Research and Field Research to earn Charizard Mega Energy.
  • For $1 USD, you’ll be able to access the October Community Day–exclusive Special Research story, A Tale of Tails. For a reward, you'll get Charizard Mega Energy.

As an added bonus for the Community Day, there's a 3x Stardust increase on catches, and all Incense activated during the event will last for three hours! So get ready to catch as many Charmanders as you possibly can!

The promotion on the Remote Raid Passes begins on Monday the 5th of October at 1 pm PDT and ends on Monday the 30th of November at 1 PDT. As a bonus, a free Remote Raid Pass is available every Monday; however, you must have three or fewer to be able to claim it! Every free Remote Raid Pass only lasts a week so remember to use them before they disappear!
