Pokemon GO events can lead to some really great rewards, including getting some amazing Pokemon to add to your collection. This event will require you to make a tough choice between Dialga or Palkia. Here are the differences between the Diamond and Pearl badges!

Pokemon GO Tour: Sinnoh Diamond or Pearl

During the Pokemon GO Tour: Sinnoh event, players will have three simple research tasks to complete to earn a bunch of rewards. However, after the first task, they will have to decide to pick the Diamond or Pearl badge, each leading down a different path of rewards.

Both badges have their advantages and exclusives that are worth trying to claim. It really comes down to what works best for you in your own personal experience. Here's a look at all the differences between them to help you decide:

All Pokemon GO Diamond Badge Rewards

  • Dialga Candy x3
  • Dialga Candy XL x1 (Trainers 31+)
  • Signature attack: Roar of Time will last twice as long
  • Exclusive Diamond Pokemon Encounters
  • Increased chance for Tyranitar Mega Energy from PokéStops

Signature Attack Advantage:

Roar of Time: Temporarily pauses the timer on certain items

  • Palkia Candy x3
  • Palkia Candy XL x1 (Trainers 31+)
  • Signature attack: Spacial Rend, will last twice as long
  • Exclusive Pearl Pokemon Encounters
  • Increased chance for Salamence Mega Energy from PokéStops

Signature Attack Advantage:

Spacial Rend: Temporarily increases the distance at which you can encounter wild Pokémon

Either badge can be beneficial for you; it just comes down to what signature attack skill is more geared toward your current goal. Do you value getting items easier or encountering more Pokemon? The badge you pick will carry over to the following global event!
