Pokémon GO Mega Aerodactyl Raid Guide: Best Counters and Weaknesses

The Fossil Pokémon, Aerodactyl, will have its Mega evolution featured in raid battles from Friday, January 7th, 2022 until Tuesday, February 1st, 2022 in Pokémon GO.

Mega Aerodactyl is a dual-type Flying and Rock Pokémon. Its typing makes it weak to Rock, Steel, Water, Electric, and Ice-type moves. All of these are equally as effective against Mega Aerodactyl but Fire, Bug, Poison, Flying, Normal, and Ground-type moves will do decreased damage so it is best to avoid moves with these typings.

• Bite (Dark-type move)
• Rock Throw (Rock-type move)
• Steel Wing (Steel-type move)

Charged Attacks:

• Ancient Power (Rock-type move)
• Earth Power (Ground-type move)
• Hyper Beam (Normal-type move)
• Iron Head (Steel-type move)
• Rock Slide (Rock-type move)

If the counters listed above are not available, it is best to take any Pokémon with Rock, Steel, Water, Electric, or Ice-type moves as these will do increased damage to Mega Aerodactyl.
