Great League

The Great League is the entry league in Pokémon GO PVP. It usually has all kinds of non-legendary Pokémon, which can be commonly caught by anyone in any place. It's the least competitive part of the league. You can take part in the Great League as long as your Pokémon is below 1500 CP.

Ultra League

The Ultra League is one of the most popular leagues in Pokémon GO PVP. This one usually has entry-level legendary Pokémon caught in different raids and events. It's decently competitive in terms of difficulty. You can play the Great League as long as your Pokémon has a minimum of 2500 CP.

Master League

The Master League is the final and toughest league in Pokémon GO PVP. There are no limits to how much CP your Pokémon has. You can use any and every kind of Pokémon in the Master League. Usually, it has the most powerful Pokémon with the highest CP.

Along with these three basic leagues, Niantic also adds plenty of other leagues to Pokémon GO PVP during events that can only have specific Pokémon.
