What platforms will Pokémon Sleep be on?

Pokémon Sleep has been confirmed for Android and is available for pre-registration now. More details regarding an iOS release will come at a later time.

How does Pokémon Sleep work?

Pokémon Sleep pairs with the Pokémon GO Plus accessory or can be played without and simply with your smartphone. Regardless of how you play, you will need to lay down for bed, but make sure you start the sleep tracker. Feel free to play some relaxing sounds to improve your sleep.

It is important that you place the phone on the bed and not a bedside table or hard surface. This allows it to track movement and more accurately capture your sleep and night movements. When you awake, press the End Sleep button and receive your sleep score. Pokémon Sleep tracks Dozing, Snoozing, and Slumbering, which stand in for Awake, REM, and Core sleep that other trackers record. It also calculates how long it takes for you to sleep and compares your sleep patterns.

Your sleep determines your Snorlax strength, with increasing this each week being one of your primary tasks. Snorlax grows with Drowsy Power, and the more you boost Snorlax, the more Pokémon you will attract.

This is the night mode of gameplay, but day and morning offer other mechanics. The morning is spent finding and recruiting other Pokémon by offering them treats. These Pokémon can then be used to help Snorlax grow as Helper Pokémon. This is done by giving Snorlax ingredients, which are picked up by Pokémon with different Pokémon finding different ingredients.

How many Pokémon are in Pokémon Sleep?

There are over 100 planned Pokémon at the launch of Pokémon Sleep. Each comes with three different sleep styles, increasing the number you can collect. Rare sleep styles require higher Snorlax Drowsy Power.

Is Pokémon Sleep free to play?

Pokémon Sleep is free to play but will feature microtransactions. This takes the form of Diamonds, which can be exchanged for various items. There is also a premium pass which provides additional bonuses.
