Where to get Defog in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl

What’s with all this fog?

TM97 Defog is a Hidden Move that clears the fog for you. You need it to navigate fog areas like Route 210. As an in-battle move, Defog lets you get rid of barriers such as Light Screen and Reflect. It also blows away you opponent’s berries if they hold any. Here’s where to get it in the Sinnoh remakes.

TM97 Defog can first be received by speaking to the Ace Trainer in the Safari Zone. She’s located near the entrance. You have to pay a small fee of 500 Pokédollars to enter the area, but it’s necessary.

After you get Defog, feel free to explore the Safari Zone before your time is up! We recommend going straight to Area Four, since it’s the largest one. The Pokémon in the Safari Zone also shuffles every day (especially the rarer encounters like Carnivine), so it’s a good opportunity to add a new Pokémon to the team.

No other TMs are in the Safari Zone, though you can get a ton of items such as medicine, shards, and Pokéballs. Defog can also be purchased from the Hiker in the Grand Underground in exchange for shards, but speaking to the Ace Trainer is the more convenient solution.
