Prehistoric Kingdom will have a more realistic dinosaur selection than players of other dinosaur tycoon games are used to. One of the many questions on the realism is whether the dinosaurs will come out fully grown or if there will be a growth system. Luckily, the developers have answered the question.
While they will not be able to breed yet, the developers will include the ability to breed baby dinosaurs without a lab. There will be dinosaur eggs and babies in the final release.

Will there be an Ontogeny System in Prehistoric Kingdom?
Yes, the developers plan to add a growth system (Ontogeny System) to Prehistoric Kingdom. It will not come with the release of Early Access, but it will be something that is added before the full release. This is only possible because of the increases in graphics they've made.
This means Prehistoric Kingdom will have a full system of dinosaurs being born, growing older, having babies, and repeating that cycle. Since this will only be part of the full release, there may be a simpler version of it in Early Access once that is updated.
