Prince of Persia The Lost Crown Water Wheel Puzzle Solution

In Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, players have to solve a lot of confusing puzzles without any obvious signs of how to solve them. The Water Wheel puzzle is one that you'll encounter while doing the Lost in Mount Qaf main quest. Solving this puzzle is a requirement to proceed to the next step of the quest which is finding Menolias in the Hyrcanian Forest. Upon entering the room, you'll see a giant wheel at the center and two small cogwheels just beside it.

Two pressure plates on the ground act like switches and pressing them will trickle down a little bit of water. The task is to get the water flowing enough to move the wheels in such a way that you can access the metallic handle on the top right side of the wall. Pulling it down will allow you access to the room on the right.

First, jump on the bottom stick attached to the surface of the giant wheel. As you jump on the sticks, you'll see arrows pointing toward the next stick on the left (indicating the jumping direction). Make another jump to it and grab the metallic handle attached to the wall on your left. From this angle, you can see two handles on the ceiling of the room. Use Sargon's blades to turn that handle and you'd see water coming out of a trap opening.

Get down and step on the left-side pressure plate to switch on the water flow. As the water runs out, the giant wheel turns a little. Now grab onto the stick at the bottom of the giant wheel and make a jump towards the next stick on the right-hand side. Just like you did before, use the blades to turn the other handle on the ceiling. After doing this, get down and press the square switch on the right to let the water trickle down which turns the wheel further.

It is easier to imagine the giant wheel as a clock where the sticks attached to the surface are at three and six o'clock respectively. Check the image above and make sure the sticks are aligned to solve the puzzle. As you press on the pressure plate switches, the water pressure turns the giant wheel as well as the cogwheels. Now all you need to do is grab the stick at the bottom, jump to the next one on the right, and finally grab onto the stick on the smaller cogwheel.

Now make the final jump to the other metallic handle on the wall and pulling it down will open the door below. Now you have solved the puzzle, get down, and enter through the door on the right to continue your quest.
