Redfall Multiplayer Not Working – Possible Fixes

Try out these troubleshooting tips.

Redfall's co-op multiplayer allows up to four players to join a party and enjoy the first-person shooter together. Although the open-world game can be experienced as a solo player, the co-op experience is even more fun as you get to play with your friends. If you're facing some issues trying to play multiplayer in Redfall, fret not, as I have some solutions that may work for you.

Fixes for Redfall Multiplayer Not Working

First and foremost, to connect to Redfall multiplayer, you can select the Host Game option from the menu and invite up to three other people from the online friend list. Make sure that you've connected to your Bethesda Account from the Bethesda.Net tab in the settings menu. If any friends don't appear on the list, they should be there now. Also, don't forget to link your Bethesda ID to your Xbox Account from the Linked Accounts section if you're playing the game via Xbox Game Pass.

These were the prerequisites to play Redfall multiplayer co-op with your friends. If you still can't join them or host the game, I've listed a few troubleshooting tips below that you may follow:

  • Check your network connection: First, ensure your device is connected to the internet. Test the internet speed on any device and make sure that it isn't too low. You should even try restarting the router if the connection seems fine, but you're still unable to play.
  • Restart the game and/or device: Close Redfall and reopen the application to see whether the issue is resolved or not. Furthermore, restarting your gaming device will ensure that all services are working properly.
  • Check for any updates: If Redfall requires any updates, download and install it for the game to function correctly. If playing on a PC, make sure that your Windows and GPU drivers are updated as well. Steam users, like me, can also go to Redfall > Properties > Local Files > Verify integrity of game files to check for any corrupted files and fix them.
  • Check the server status of the game: You can check if there are server issues with the game on Bethesda Status and Downdetector. Also, visit Redfall's official Twitter page for any announcements and updates related to the game.

If none of these fixes have worked and you're still unable to play Redfall multiplayer, I advise that you forward your issues to the developers via the Bethesda Support website. Lodge a complaint in the Technical Support section and your problem will be forwarded to the support team.
