Updated March 21, 2026
We are waiting for Bizarre Lineage Update 1 dropping on March 1. With the update, two new Fighting Styles will be added, so you can expect that we will add them as well to the list below!
Fighting Styles are a core part of every build in Bizarre Lineage, sitting alongside your Stand, Sub-Abilities, and Weapons. Unlike your Stand, which handles most of your long-range and special abilities, Fighting Styles shape your close-range pressure. There are currently three Fighting Styles available in Morioh Cho: Kendo, Boxing, and Karate. This guide covers every moveset, keybinds, exact NPC locations, quest requirements, and which style best fits your playstyle.
All Fighting Styles in Bizarre Lineage
There are three fighting styles currently available in Bizarre Lineage. Each one requires completing a questline and paying $100 to a trainer NPC across the Morioh Cho map. Once unlocked, you equip them from your build menu and can switch between learned styles at any time.
NOTE: Don't rush to unlock a Fighting Style in the very early game. Secure a solid Stand and level your core stats first. Fighting Styles pair best with a Sub-Ability (Spec) to form a complete combat build.
Kendo
To get the Kendo fighting style in Bizarre Lineage, head to the Kame Yu Market near the 15th Bus Stop in Morioh Cho and speak with the Samurai Master NPC. Pay $100 to begin the Kendo questline. Once completed, you'll unlock all four Kendo moves. Kendo is a sword-based style that excels at guard breaking and structured combos — ideal for players who want to control fights with consistent pressure.

Kendo Moveset
| Kendo Move | Keybind | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Whirlwind | [E] | After a small windup, perform a slash in front of you, hitting everyone in a small arc. This move also breaks the guard of any player in front of you, making it a key opener against defensive opponents. |
| Whirlwind (Air variant) | [E] in air | While airborne, press the Whirlwind button to perform two vertical upward slashes, launching you and your opponent before knocking them away and ragdolling them. Great for aerial follow-ups after a launcher move. |
| Silent Edge | [R] | Dash forward with your sword before performing a slash. If it hits someone, you can chain multiple slashes one after the other until the player gets stunned. A reliable gap-closer and combo starter. |
| Rising Tempest | [F] | Stomp the ground in front of you. If someone gets hit by it, you can pull them upwards and perform 3 slashes, then deliver one final strike before falling with them and sliding across the floor. While sliding, you will drag the enemy beneath you and finally knock them out. High damage ceiling with good visual flair. |

Boxing
To unlock Boxing in Bizarre Lineage, go to the Gym near the 2nd Bus Stop in Morioh Cho, head up to the second floor, and talk to the Boxing Coach NPC. Pay $100 to start the questline. Note that the Boxing questline is the longest of the three — you'll need to defeat NPCs around the gym, complete a raid (Avdol's Raid at Bus Stop 14 is a good option if you're above level 10), spar multiple opponents, and finish a World Event. Boxing focuses on raw close-range pressure with fast stuns and clean punch combos that are easy to execute.

Boxing Moveset
| Boxing Move | Keybind | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Whitefang | [E] | Two quick, powerful hooks, an uppercut, and a right hook, one after the other. If executed properly, it will stun the enemy, making it an excellent opener or combo ender. |
| Liver Crusher | [R] | Two quick punches stun the enemy. Short range but extremely fast. This is ideal for interrupting opponents mid-combo or punishing predictable attacks. |
| Dempsey Roll | [F] | A reactive counter move where the player sways continuously until the opponent attacks. When they do, you unload a rapid multi-hit combo that culminates in a powerful left hook. This move rewards reads and patience over raw aggression. |
Karate
For Karate, find the Karate Sensei NPC at the entrance of the park next to the Hospital, near the 15th Bus Stop in Morioh Cho. Pay $100 to start the quest and unlock Karate abilities upon completion. Karate balances mobility with area damage — its aerial moves make it a strong pick for players who like aggressive, flashy combat that can hit multiple enemies at once.

Karate Moveset
| Karate Move | Keybind | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Seiken Barrage | [E] | Dash toward the enemy, then deliver multiple smacks with your fists, ending with a dual punch. Works well as a combo opener thanks to the built-in dash. |
| Sixth Massacre | [R] | Hit the opponent, then quickly jump into the air, and ram into the ground with your fist to create a shockwave that damages the enemy. The shockwave deals area damage, so it can hit multiple nearby enemies at once. |
| Tatsumaki | [F] | Jump into the air and start spinning with your foot placed outwards while going towards the ground, hitting everyone near your leg and stunning them. The multi-hit AoE makes this Karate's strongest move for group situations and PvP crowd control. |
Which Fighting Style Is Best in Bizarre Lineage?
Each fighting style serves a different combat role. Here's a quick breakdown to help you choose the right one for your build:
| Fighting Style | Playstyle | Strengths | Best For |
|---|---|---|---|
| Kendo | Sword pressure | Guard breaks, 4 moves, aerial variant | Structured combo players |
| Boxing | Brawler | Fast stuns, easy execution, reactive counter | Beginners & PvP |
| Karate | Mobile AoE | Aerial moves, multi-hit, area damage | Group fights & mobility |
Boxing is the most beginner-friendly thanks to its straightforward moveset and reliable stuns. Kendo has the highest skill ceiling with four moves and strong guard-break utility. Karate shines in PvE and group PvP, where its AoE moves can hit multiple targets. Remember that your Fighting Style works best when paired with a Sub-Ability — the combination of both defines your full build.
