Want to know which units are best in Anime Galaxies? Another week, another new Anime Tower Defense Roblox experience. Some may say the market is a bit saturated, but who are we kidding? We're gonna go play it. With that in mind, to save you time, I've created this Anime Galaxies Tier List of the best units, so you know exactly what to grind and where to invest your time and resources.

As with most Anime TD games on Roblox, ranking the best units in Anime Galaxies comes down to a few key factors. For starters, it's your usual raw damage/DPS factor, but then you also have things like support capabilities (buffs, CC, debuffs, etc.) and combo potential, stopping power, and so on. No single factor determines whether a unit is meta. However, at the end of the day, it often comes down to raw numbers. Numbers go up, enemies go down.
Keep in mind that I've been playing the game for around a dozen hours (since the launch of early access), so this tier list is still very preliminary. Nevertheless, I've got years of in-depth experience with other Roblox TD games, and I'm already seeing the patterns that will dominate the meta in Anime Galaxies. With that said, here's my Anime Galaxies Tier List of the best units.
IMPORTANT NOTE: The game has just launched and many unit details are still missing on the least as I'm still working on evolving them in order to test them. As I unlock, evolve and test more units, I will continue updating the tier list.
Spedwag, Roger, and Sokonu are core picks for different reasons: economy, team support, and wave damage. Foji also deserves a place in your plans because he combines air-and-ground coverage with a strong Slow.
| Unit | Why This Tier |
|---|---|
| S TierCore picks and standout specialists | |
Roger (Pirate King) SSECRET | A complete damage-and-support package. Roger brings a 2.5-second stun on a 12-second trigger cooldown, shield bypass, and a 150% damage follow-up every fifth attack that splashes enemies within 6 studs. That combination gives him answers to shielded targets and clustered waves while buying the rest of your team more time to attack. His biggest team-building advantage is Captain of the Seas: other units inside his range gain 10% damage. Position him to cover several damage dealers and a useful stretch of the path. The buff does not stack, so overlapping Roger auras do not multiply that bonus. His stun also has downtime; use it as part of your control setup. |
Sokonu (King) SSECRET | A wave-clearing carry with damage at both ends of an enemy's health bar. Above 50% HP, his attacks apply a three-second Bleed worth 50% of his damage in total. Below 50% HP, his attacks gain 30% damage. Every 15 takedowns primes a 200% follow-up against every enemy in range, and his kills also spread a four-second Burn worth 40% damage to enemies within 6 studs. Dense waves feed his kill-triggered effects. Shrine of Calamity adds a five-second Domain every 40 seconds, dealing 50% of his damage every half-second to enemies inside. Place him where enemies stay in coverage. Against an isolated boss, his takedown-dependent effects have fewer opportunities to contribute, although his health-based bonuses and timed Domain still matter. |
Spedwag SEPIC | The essential farm unit. Not much else to say here, really. If you've ever played a single Anime TD game on Roblox, you know that farms are a must in any team comp |
Stork (Resurrection) SMYTHIC | A strong sustained AoE pick when you respect his spacing requirement. Every third attack sends out a Soul Wolf for a 90% damage follow-up in a 5-stud radius. From Upgrade 3, Solitude increases those explosions by 1.5 times when no other unit is within 10 studs, raising the follow-up to 135% damage. That makes isolation a meaningful damage bonus. Lupine Barrage adds six 30% damage follow-ups over three seconds every 25 seconds. Its random targeting spreads the shots across available enemies, so it is less precise in a crowd. Leave space around Stork and plan nearby support placements carefully. Solitude specifically boosts Soul Wolf explosions; do not apply that multiplier to every part of his kit. |
Goju (Six Eyes) SMYTHIC | A positioning-dependent damage pick that rewards keeping enemies close. Infinite Distance deals 6% of his damage every second to enemies inside the inner 40% of his range. Reversal Burst adds an 80% damage follow-up every fourth attack, hitting enemies within 6 studs of the target. Both effects benefit from enemies staying clustered around the right part of the path. Place Goju near a bend or a section your control units can hold enemies in. Enemies at the outer edge of his range will miss the aura damage entirely, so maximizing the visible range circle is not enough. Foji or Megomu can help prolong enemy exposure. His placement here rests on the confirmed aura and burst mechanics; the full Imaginary Void charging condition still needs testing. |
Zid (Atomic) S | TBA. Testing in progress. |
Joren (Unlimited) S | TBA. Testing in progress. |
| A TierStrong picks with conditions or narrower roles | |
Ishgo (Perfect Mask) AMYTHIC | A damage dealer whose value depends on building and using Hollow Rage. Each hit adds one point to his 15-point Hollow Gauge. Filling it triggers eight seconds of Rage, during which attacks apply a three-second Bleed worth 60% of his damage in total. From Upgrade 3, every third attack also produces a 60% damage follow-up against the target and up to two extra enemies within 6 studs. Keep him attacking a busy stretch of the path so he has regular chances to build gauge and use the Rage window. His follow-up is capped at three targets, and Rage needs a buildup period. Those conditions keep his output less immediate and his crowd damage more restricted than the strongest wave-clear picks. Ishgo (Masked) is treated as this Perfect Mask entry. |
Megomu (Shadows) AMYTHIC | A control-and-damage pick with useful Slow synergy. Divine Hounds applies a 50% Slow for four seconds, with a seven-second trigger cooldown. Hunting Pack adds a 60% damage follow-up when he hits a slowed enemy. Chimera Garden opens an eight-second Domain every 30 seconds, dealing 5% of his damage every half-second to enemies inside. Pair him with another source of Slow and place him where several damage dealers share coverage. Foji is a promising partner because he provides a separate Slow window, although the precise interaction and timing still need confirmation. Megomu's own Slow is not continuous, and a slow attack interval can leave gaps. His control helps the whole team, but Hunting Pack depends on the target being slowed when the hit occurs. |
Foji ALEGENDARY | One of the most useful ways to cover flying enemies and add control in the same slot. Foji can hit both air and ground, which gives him an important role in a roster dominated by ground-only attackers. Gravity Press applies a 60% Slow for three seconds, triggering at most once every six seconds. That creates more time for your damage dealers to finish enemies moving through shared coverage. Place him where his Slow helps your main damage dealers and where he can catch flying threats. He is also a natural candidate to support Megomu's Hunting Pack, subject to confirming that interaction. The Slow has downtime and still needs an attack to apply, so it is not permanent lockdown. Keep him for coverage and control even after you acquire stronger damage units. |
Itoshi (Awakened) A | TBA. Testing in progress. |
| B TierProvisional progression picks | |
Gen BLEGENDARY | Provisional progression pick. Keep Gen in a temporary combat slot if he is one of your strongest available units. |
Kitzaru BLEGENDARY | Provisional progression pick. Use Kitzaru to fill a combat slot while you assemble your core team. |
Natzo BLEGENDARY | Provisional progression pick. Natzo can occupy a temporary damage slot while you build toward your preferred lineup. |
Kizua BLEGENDARY | Provisional progression pick. Use Kizua early if he fills a gap in your current team while you work toward the confirmed core picks. |

How I Rank Anime Galaxies Units
This Anime Galaxies Tier List prioritizes useful damage, reliable wave coverage, control, economy, and each unit's contribution to a full team. Spedwag earns S tier through farming. Foji earns A tier through air coverage and Slow. Roger's team damage buff and shield bypass matter alongside his personal damage.
Positioning and activation conditions are what I think about too. Stork needs space to activate Solitude, Goju needs enemies inside his inner range, and Sokonu needs takedowns to fuel parts of his kit. Follow-up attacks use current unit damage, but they do not count as normal attacks or trigger on-attack/on-hit effects. Damage-over-time percentages here refer to total damage over the stated duration unless an effect explicitly gives a tick interval.
The current comparison remains provisional where full costs, upgrade curves, placement limits, or equal-condition damage tests are missing. Non-farm Epics are very-early-game options, and Rares should be replaced as soon as possible. Spedwag remains the essential farm exception in my Anime Galaxies Tier List (and I reckon in everyone else's).
And that's it! This is my early Anime Galaxies Tier List for the release meta. Thanks for reading, and don't forget to visit this article often, as I'll keep playing and updating my tier list as I learn more about the game and its meta.
