Anime Horizon Tier List – Best Units

The real final boss is convincing yourself the next ten-pull will fix your team. Check out my Anime Horizon Tier List of the best meta units.

Looking for the best units in Anime Horizon TD? Pulling a shiny new Mythical is great, but rarity alone won't stop your base from getting folded. Between damage dealers that need time to ramp up, hybrids that cover the skies, and supports that make everyone else hit harder, a good team needs more than your strongest DPS. My Anime Horizon tier list ranks units by their damage potential, utility, and team synergy to help you decide who's worth investing in.

Keep in mind that this is my initial evaluation of all the units currently available in Anime Horizon TD. The game has just launched, and as is often the case with new Roblox Anime Tower Defense games, finding reliable information about every unit is damn hard, and actually unlocking them is even harder. So it'll take some time before I can properly test everything and get a complete picture of how each unit and its evolutions perform. Expect the rankings to change as I learn more!

That said, I already have a pretty clear idea of what's good and what's bad in Anime Horizon TD. At its core, the game plays remarkably similarly to Anime Expeditions (let's be real, it's a pretty obvious copycat), and given that I've sunk dozens of hours into that game, I'm fairly confident I know what works and what doesn't here as well. So, while there's still plenty of testing to be done, I have a solid foundation for these early rankings. With that out of the way, here's my Anime Horizon TD Tier List evaluation.

Ground · Circle
  • Burn scaling does the heavy lifting. Burning enemies builds his damage bonuses and Rengoku Stacks, with burn reaching 50% at five stacks. Give him a busy lane and let him cook. Literally.
  • Brings more than personal DPS. Burn kills within range let him grant nearby units burn DoT, giving him team utility alongside his own damage.
  • A burst button for crowded lanes. Ninth Form hits every enemy in range on a 60-second cooldown. It consumes his stacks, though, so cashing out immediately is not always the play.

S TierLegendaryAngelic
Support · Magical
  • A core support for magical teams. Her upgrade-scaling aura reaches +25% damage and +40% weakness resistance for magical units in range. Buffing several carries is a very good use of one team slot.
  • The dance adds a proper DPS window. From Upgrade 5, magical units get +20% damage and -10% SPA while she dances for 15 seconds every 30 seconds. Position your carries inside her range before buying front-row tickets.
  • Economy utility on top. Upgrade 5 also gives farms in range +5% yen. Her S-tier value depends on the lineup, though: physical carries do not get her magical-unit buffs.

Support · Physical
  • The physical-team buffer. His aura scales up to +25% damage and +40% weakness resistance for physical units in range. Build around that damage type and he earns his slot without needing to top the damage chart himself.
  • Your buffed attackers fuel the cavalry. From Upgrade 5, the attack trigger summons three horses from the end of the track. Their HP scales with the highest damage among buffed physical units in range, so keeping a strong carry inside his aura matters.
  • Excellent in the right comp, not a universal pick. The horse trigger has a 15-second cooldown, and magical units miss out on his physical buffs. Inspirational shouting has its limits.
SSJ3 Karakot SSJ3 Karakot

Ground · Line
  • A loaded burst window. Filling Saiyan Meter grants damage, attack-speed, range, and crit buffs for 15 seconds. That is the main reason to bring him, rather than judging him only between power-ups.
  • Useful pressure outside the transformation. Burning on every attack adds DoT, while Royal Blood rewards having enemies above 70% HP in range. He has more going on than just waiting for his hair to finish loading.
  • The payoff needs setup. His meter builds by attacking, and the miss-triggered Galick Gun follow-up adds another variable. A tier for now: strong offensive tools, but his biggest buffs are temporary and he is Ground.
Whitemustache (Bisento) Whitemustache (Bisento)
A TierMythicalWater
Hybrid · Magical · Line
  • Hybrid coverage makes team-building easier. Covering ground and air gives him a practical edge over Ground-only damage dealers, especially when team slots are tight.
  • Built for longer runs. He gains +1% damage each wave, up to +20%, without needing kills for that bonus. The old man takes a while to warm up, but at least he does it on schedule.
  • Damage with a side of crowd control. Every 30 eliminations primes a stun on his next attack. Useful utility, but the kill requirement makes it something to build toward, not an on-demand panic button.

Ground · Magical
  • A self-buffing magical attacker. At 50% Cyberware, Fury gives him +10% damage, +10% crit chance, and +20% crit damage. Both attacks and kills build the meter, so kills help without being his only way to charge it.
  • Upgrade 3 adds the explosion. Reaching 100% Cyberware triggers a 150% damage blast around David. Positioning matters if you want enemies caught in it, rather than treating the explosion as free map-wide damage.
  • A useful cycle, with downtime attached. Cyberware resets at 100%, so Fury is not a permanent buff. His Ground targeting and need to rebuild the meter keep this provisional placement at B. Even cyberware needs a loading bar.

Ground · Magical · Circle
  • Reliable access to burn. Every attack applies Burning, giving him a straightforward DoT role without waiting for his elimination passive to activate.
  • The burst bonus is big, but the bill comes first. After 100 eliminations, his next 3-5 attacks gain 230% bonus damage. That is a hefty reward behind a hefty kill requirement, especially when your other carries are taking the last hits.
  • A situational damage slot. Ground targeting and a short, kill-gated burst window make him harder to justify over more flexible picks. B tier fits: useful burn pressure, with the fireworks arriving on his schedule.
